Acoustic simulation software for complex indoor spaces

Based on the ICARE acoustic calculation core that has proved itself in the transport industry for almost 20 years, AcouSPACE software permits a simple and robust approach to the acoustics of complex spaces such as open-plan offices, catering spaces or classrooms and auditoriums. Notably, it permits the comparison of different variants of plans in order to design spaces suited to the activity carried out there, and complying with French and international standards.

IMPORT YOUR 3D MODEL AND CONFIGURE YOUR PROJECT

AcouSPACE imports geometries in the DXF and SKP formats widely used for the design of interior spaces. A 3D intuitive and fluid display lets you analyse your models.
Your project may contain different interior design versions of the space in order to easily compare their acoustic performance of the different solutions you’re envisaging.
The acoustic characteristics of materials can be imported from the AcouBAT database which is regularly updated and enriched by acoustic trials at the European acoustic laboratory of CSTB (LABE).
In order to simplify your input, the grouping of architectural elements in layers or groups in your CAD software is recognised by AcouSPACE and permits a rapid and intuitive allocation of the acoustic characteristics of the surfaces. No need to run through endless lists in order to select the absorbtion of the materials !


CARRY OUT YOUR SIMULATIONS AND OBTAIN PERTINENT ACOUSTIC INDICATORS

Depending on the type of indicator you wish to calculate, AcouSPACE guides you in placing your sources and receivers, as well as the choice of respective directivities in order to respect the normative recommendations.
The simulation method for #réponse impulsionnelle point spread function/pulse response is based on the ICARE compute engine. This is a hybrid approach using ray tracing for the simulation of the first reflections and the diffracted trajectories and a particle method# for diffused trajectories and the reverberated field. This optimised method benefits from the advantages of both geometric methods while overcoming their weaknesses. Your simulations are automatically parameterized by AcouSPACE and simplify its use to the maximum. Its Expert Mode nevertheless lets you precisely control the calculation algorithm.
Once your simulations have been carried out, the results in terms of acoustic indicators are displayed and can be exported in the form of a simulation report.


COMPARE YOUR ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS AND OPTIMISE YOUR PLANNING

AcouSPACE includes a management of variants function. This permits rapid input and an ergonomic comparison of the acoustic performance of your solutions. You can thus determine the effect on reverberation time of a partition or acoustic ceiling (Tr), the decreasing of speech sounds in the premises (D2,S) or the speech transmission index (STI). AcouSPACE thus allows you to test the acoustic performance of products currently available in their end use environment.
